  • Horray, I'm done with my physics exam!

God, I hate physics.  Everyone else around me seems to understand it without a hitch and that really bothers me. I dont stand a chance, when I was doing the practice exams to study for the test I got around 4 questions right each time on all 4 of the practice exams I had. That means I should've just circled "C" for every answer, I'd literally make a higher grade that way than if I had actually tried. I do go to every lecture and discussion, spend most of my days in the physics help room waiting in line for an hour to get one question answered before waiting in line for another hour to get another question answered. I go to the lecture immediately before the one that I'm assigned to so that I can write down the in-class quiz answers and get a second dose of knowledge. Our lab quizzes are in class and closed book, and they're always the most random, impossible to study for questions. It sucks, and on top of that my GSI grades really harshly.

I'm going to withdraw after I get my exam results, I did some grade calculating and even if I did best-case-scenario on all the discussions and lectures and homeworks, if I dont do much much better on the actual exam than I do on the practice exams then I'll still have a D, and that's useless to me. I put such an incredible amount of hours into studying for this one class, but I see nothing in results, it's just not worth the time. I'll probably take it at home over the summer at a piss-easy community college, I did that this summer with Calculus and got an easy A and transfered it over here so I dont have that requirement anymore. I hate having to have a W on the transcript since I'm withdrawing from the class, but I'm sick of waking up extra-early every morning, studying or working on homework every spare minute I have, being forced to neglect all of my other classes, being exhausted everyday since I dont get nearly enough sleep and I'm always annoying my friends with endless physics questions. They made Physics 125 waaaaaaaaaay too damn hard. Now I'm ranting, so I'll shut up now.

  • About a week ago in my physics lab, I walk in at the beginning of class and sit down at a lab station by myself.  We work in pairs, and there's an odd number of people in the classroom, so usually there has to be one group of 3.  So I'm sitting there, minding my own business, and everyone else in the class has a partner.  This girl walks in late, and finds herself forced to partner up with me, so she sits down at our lab station.  Instead of acting normal and getting started on our work, however, she goes up to the instructor and asks if she can join another group.  This means that I have to join another group, so now there's two groups of 3.  It was actually quite nice because the girls who let me group with them were very nice and very smart and we got our work done early.

This week, same thing.  I go in and sit down as usual.  I set my books and stuff down, and then walk off to get a drink of water and use the bathroom.  When I come back to the room, that same girl is sitting at my lab station again.  When I go and sit down next at my lab station, the one where all of my books and my bag are, she again gets up and joins another group.  But things did work out in my favor because I again got the luck of the draw and got to sit next to a very beautiful, very smart lab partner.  In the end, I'm glad that I partnered with the person who I did, but I cant get that other girl off of my mind because of how quick she was to act when she saw who she had to work with for the next 2 hours.

I'm sorry, but that girl was just WAAAAAY too intentionally rude.  That's just an unacceptable amount of rudeness.  I'm a pretty socially awkward person, so I know that I unintentionally give off a creepy vibe at times, and to be quite honest I dont know how to control that because I'm just being myself and minding my own damn business.  But I dont consider myself as someone who you should immediately be uncomfortable sitting by, and if I am then you should stop making assumptions about people without getting to know them better.  It would not kill you to sit down and communicate and get work done with me for two hours, if you cant do that then you're just a stuck-up ho-bitch.

  • Took my Biology exam about 4 hours ago.  Hot damn, I'm glad to be done with that.  I studied my ass off, I crammed like a motherfucker and it paid off in the end.  I dont think I did amazing or anything, but if a C comes my way then I'm alright with that.  Now I've got to study for my Physics exam on Thursday.  I'll take it easy tonight though, I think I deserve it.  It's raining like a bitch outside, otherwise I'd go out and find some fun.

  • Last night was the season 4 premier of My Name is Earl, as well as 2 new episodes of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.  If you havent seen these two shows, you should take a step back and re-evaluate your life.

My Name is Earl is my favorite show that's still being aired on television, it deals with karma talking about how doing good things will cause good things to happen to you in return.  Unlike alot of people, I believe in karma, and try to follow a lifestyle that suits this theory.  Regardless of whether or not it seems to work, it's always better to be a nice person to everyone in life, and karma keeps me motivated in this way.

"My Name is Earl" is "The Wonder Years" of this generation.

  • WOW I've had a shit day today.  Slept through my first class, which we had a quiz in.  Completely forgot to go to the second class.  Wasnt able to make it to dinner.  Not only that, but I've got two tests next week and need to write a handful of papers.  I should've dropped physics when I had the chance.  I am so fucked.

Edit:  Even more shit, I missed my physics discussion class completely.  Zero points in there for today, what shit.  And I figured out why I've been late to some of my classes, I must have accidentally set my clock one hour behind while I was setting the alarm.

  • Havin a pretty shit day today.

Woke up to a very nice sounding fire alarm, which took them 20 minutes to turn off, effectively making me late for class since I couldnt go back into my room to get my stuff.  Okay, THAT'S a problem.

So then I was late to Physics class, where I missed one of the Quizdom questions, which I usually get all of them right, so that was a bummer.

Afterwards, I needed to eat, so I stopped by the cafeteria.  Got in line like everyone else, asked for "a little bit of everything".  So this girl gives me half a scoop of casserole and gives me my plate.  I'm like "uh, can I get a little more than that?  Also, I asked for everything".  So she gives me another half scoop of casserole, and gives me back my plate.  I hand it back, saying "Could I get a little of everything?"  She gives me a scoop of rice, and hands the plate back.  "I said 'everything', can I get some french fries and a burger with that as well?".  She gives me some french fries and hands the plate to her co-worker to give me the burger.  "Yeah, can I get a chicken patty instead of a wolverine burger?"  He reaches for the wolverine burger.  "No, not that, I asked for a chicken patty" and I point to the chicken patties.  He continues preparing the wolverine burger and hands it to me.  "That's not what I asked for, I asked for a chicken patty."  He says "so you dont want a wolverine burger?"  At that point, I'm exhausted from the rude wakeup and having to deal with all that shit, so I just yell out "NO!".  I hope I got my point across, are these people deaf or just being intentionally shitty at their jobs?

Took a nap, got up in time for Spanish, and I got an 81% on my Spanish exam.  Alright, but I was hoping for a better score for my first exam, so that's sort of a bummer.

Got a Bio exam next Monday that I'm going to have to start studying for.

  • This is going to be a happier Xanga entry than my previous ones.

Last night, at like 4:30 in the morning, I was playing computer games when I started hearing this loud shaking noise.  At first, I thought it was something in the game, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary.  But this shaking continues for about 5 minutes, and I take my headphones off for a second, and someone's at my door trying to get in.  I walk over and look through the peephole, some dude I've never seen before.  I open the door, I'm like "what do you want dude?", he makes some incoherent babble and tried to force himself in.  I push him out and am like "what the fuck dude, I cant understand a word you're saying".  Then he yells "GOTTA PISS" and I say "dude the bathroom's down the hall".  Must've been drunk or something.  But then he goes next door and does the same thing to that dude's room.  It was awkward.

Since I slept through the dining hall hours, I think I'm going to try out Blimpy Burger today since it's right next to West Quad.  I hear that you have to order in the "correct" way, or else you get scolded, so that's sort of intimidating.  At the same time, I hear the burgers are damn good.  They take 3 days to make their onion rings.

  • I might sign up to vote this year.  "But Capn, why the sudden change of heart?"  No change of heart involved, I'm just an asshole.  There's this chick who has a McCain 08 sign posted in her dorm room window, and I'm forced to walk by it everyday.  I'm going to sign up and vote for Obama just so that I can get that warm fuzzy feeling knowing that her vote didnt count towards anything.  Mmmmmmmmmmmm.... fuzzy.......

"But evry vote counts, lol!"  Shut up, no they dont, and I wouldnt care if they did.  McCain and Palin are about as qualified to run this country as my dick and balls.  Look it up, you'll see what I mean.

Originally, if you signed up to vote, you got put on the jury duty list.  Fuck jury duty, that shit's gay.  But since they've changed that, it doesnt matter, pretty much everyone's elegible.  Which was a STUPID decision, because some people shouldnt be on jury duty, at all.

I'm sick of ignorant Americans and being religiously oppressed.  Seperation of church and state my asshole, god's still in the national anthem and on our currency, that shit doesnt belong there.  Would you like it if the national anthem said "One nation, under Satan" or if your dollar bill said "In Allah We Trust"?  Oh, you dont like it?  Good, cuz now you know what it feels like to see that on a daily basis.

Oh, and gay marriage isnt nationally legal yet, bullshit.  Buncha ignorant, oppressive religious fucks get to decide who is allowed to legally devote yourself to another human being.  Fuck em in the ass, literally, think about how ironic it would be to see those assholes get one up the bum.

Drinking age should not be 21, it should be 18, like the rest of the world.  Speaking of which, marijuana should be legal, it's much more harmless than cigarettes.  Oh, you dont believe these last two sentences?  Google it.

Goddamn, I should just move to Canada, they have free healthcare, hockey, and a higher percentage of alcohol in their beers.  I could go on and on about how awesome Canada is, but it's obvious.  No war, no draft, no stupid-ass people voting for unqualified political candidates.  I imagine there isnt as much fuss about politics up there either, they just laugh at us because we rabble rabble rabble about it endlessly.

That's about all the politics you're going to get out of me.  That's all I have to say.  That's my stance on everything political.  Never, ever ask me about anything political related ever again.

  • IF EVERYONE WOULD BE SO KIND AS TO STOP TALKING ABOUT POLITICS, I'D APPRECIATE IT.  THANK YOU.

  • It's Saturday.  All cafeterias are closed.  I need to eat.  Where should I eat?

    1.  White Castle
    2.  Jimmy John's
    3.  Papa John's
    4.  Potbelly's
    5.  Someplace new (provide suggestions!)
    6.  Taco Bell (I just found out that there's one on central campus!)
    7.  Big Ten Burrito (if so, then which one?  The one on South University, or the one on Packard?  Because I know for a fact that the one on South State street is absolutely inferior to the one on Packard.)
